What is a doula?
A doula is an experienced guide trained to support others as they navigate a major life event, particularly, but not exclusively, in the perinatal* period. Doulas provide non-medical, nonjudgmental, respectful, and evidence-based care, information, and support to their clients.
*Perinatal: the time before, during, and after the birth of a child.
About Abbie
Abbie (she/her) is a full spectrum doula serving the greater Los Angeles area. She trained and certified with Carriage House Birth. She is a student of birth work and reproductive justice who believes every person has the right to bodily autonomy and informed consent. Her mission is to support her clients and community in achieving that.
