As my prenatal and postpartum doula, Abbie has been an amazing and essential component of my birth support team. She has a wealth of knowledge around pregnancy, birth, postpartum care, and newborn care, and has a wonderful database of resources for additional support covering all areas related to birth, birth prep, and pp care. We greatly enjoyed our prenatal sessions that she customized to our needs, through which she made me feel prepared with the right tools and knowledge as I approached my (VBAC) birth. I highly recommend hiring Abbie for her birth knowledge and support!

She also provided exemplary care during my early postpartum weeks based on my needs. She helped me take much needed breaks to care for myself, prepared amazing and nutritious meals and snacks, ran errands, cared for the baby, folded laundry, cleaned bottles and pump parts, and gave great advice for any questions I had. She has a calming presence and was a joy to have around. Her support made the early weeks much more doable/tolerable and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for additional hands and care during the postpartum period. I am so grateful for everything she did for me and my family during this journey!

Abbie came to my rescue when I delivered via emergency C-section 5 weeks early. Abbie was referred to me and helped me in those early weeks (I think the first week back, while the baby was still in the NICU) do all the things I couldn't physically do post-surgery: From breaking down Amazon boxes to delivering delicious muffins to helping me clean out and set up our stroller. She was a lifeline and I'll be forever grateful.

I’m so glad I found Abbie as my doula for my second pregnancy. My first pregnancy was a traumatic experience and I knew going into the second one, I wanted pregnancy and postpartum support and luckily found Abbie via the Village Birth. Abbie was able to provide packages for her services and I went with package #2, that had two prenatal meetings and two postpartum meetings. Abbie was informative and supportive from day-1 and always helped me understand what was going. Abbie was even more of a gem for postpartum and provided meals, help with household work and taking care of the baby so I could have some time for myself! I highly recommend Abbie as a doula!

I cannot overstate how much Abbie's support helped my post partum experience. She has an amazing ability to come into the house, assess the situation and accomplish whatever tasks need to be done to ease anxiety. For me that included (but was not limited to): holding the baby so I could rest, cleaning, cooking meals so my family was covered for the week, and just chatting and checking in. She has a kind and calming presence that helped both me and my baby get through an amazing but emotionally charged period.

Working with Abbie has been an invaluable experience during our pregnancy journey. Her support, knowledge, and care made a significant difference in our journey, leaving us feeling so supported and informed. Plus, her homemade meals are delicious – a wonderful bonus layer of comfort and nourishment!

Having Abbie as our birth and post partum doula was like having a trusted close friend by your side who happens to be incredibly knowledgeable. She put me and my husband at ease in a stressful situation. I felt fully supported and found myself turning to her after the nurses would say anything- she was like my birth translator. I can’t imagine going through this experience without Abbie.

I'm so grateful we found Abbie to help us with the birth of our second child. Abbie is the perfect combination of mama bear and gentle caregiver that I was looking for. She was super informed and always had a different perspective to offer without making it feel to pushy or preachy. I was doing Hypnobabies and I really appreciated how she dove right in there with me and created a plan to support the birth choices I was making. I loved having her at one of my prenatal appts, she asked my midwife questions I never would have thought of! I loved that we physically practiced comfort measures ahead of time, and how in communication she was with me and my partner as my due date got closer. When my birth time finally came, I was 6 days past my due date. Abbie had my back in wanting to not have any interventions like membrane sweep etc. We welcomed our baby girl into the world just 20 min after checking into the hospital. I remember Abbie running in and grabbing my hand as my midwife was saying I was ready to push: she looked me in the eye and said you got this and I grabbed her hand and the strength she was sending me and brought our baby girl earthside. If I can ever convince my husband to have a 3rd, she is the first person I'll call!
